Weekend Photography Plans: What are you up to?

In Minneapolis for the weekend with the MM and ZM 35 C-Biogon. What a beautiful city. And their Art Institute has an impressive photography collection. Not a dedicated shooting trip, but still getting in some street time.

There was a metal concert downtown last nite, I walked the streets around the venue before the sunset for some "street tatoo" pictures.
I wandered over to where my son had set up a dancer/model shoot in the street in front of a theater, but didn't hang around.

In the same general area this morning, a monthly "junk fair" was held, and I got some more street pics.
I am slowly losing the fear of street shooting, and in some situations I will engage, and ask permission.
I have been shooting the Leica Standard w/tri-x at 800.

Walked the mean streets of downtown San Diego today : ) with my X100 + TCL. Tomorrow I think I will head out to the desert and see if I can catch some cloud bursts in the afternoon with my digilux 2 and X100.

Hi Raid, the poll in this thread closed some years ago. It would be interesting to repoll to see the difference some years make in camera type use.

How can we start a new poll or how can we re-open it, Frank? You may have meant to have a new poll in a separate thread. Good idea.

I just shot a sheet of New55 color film in my old Busch Pressman 4X5. Disappointing results. The chemical pod didn't properly open so only 1/2 of the image developed. What did develop was interesting, not life-like colors, but kind of dreamy. This new film has potential, if they can fix the processing problems.

Interesting, Jim. I have never used such a film.

New55 is the start-up company trying to produce a 4X5 film similar to the old Polaroid stuff. They’ve been concentrating on their B&W film the past few years, but produced a batch of experimental color 4X5 Polaroid-type film to see if there was any interest in such a product. They only produced 400 boxes (200 exposures). I signed up for a box back in May (?) which came in last week. An interesting product, I hope they can work the kinks out.

Raid, There's a Rokkor 21/4 in LTM??? Where did you get it?

Also envious for that Canon 19. I had a chance to buy one a few years ago and I remember passing because I thought they wanted too much $$ for it. I was wrong :(

Went to the Georgia O'Keeffe exhibition at Tate Modern today. There were several photos by Alfred Stieglitz, mostly these were platinum prints and very dark indeed by today's standard. Since platinum is one of the most archival of all media one can only assume that they were intended to be like this.

A little fun this weekend, with a run up to Cicely, Alaska for some Northern Exposure at the Sunday farmers' market! (That would of course be Roslyn Washington where some of the show was shot). Noticed that Chris's radio studio has been condensed into a small window display now.

Bit late but ive been testing my f2as I won in a competition and looking at ai lenses as im kinda missing the point of the dp12 prism without ai lenses

no photo this weekend only a moleskine a couple of brushes and a few watercolours!!!
