Weekend Photography Plans: What are you up to?

Trying to project several lifetimes of Kodachrome 8mm home movies. Projector has killed all power in the house twice now...better find another.

Hope you'll manage to have it working...I still have my father's Bell&Howell 8mm projector, I have boxes of film but I'm afraid to use it...not sure in which condition the films are and i'm also afraid that the lamp in the projector will burn...it's the only one I have...

In the end I gave up with the 1950s Specto projector and used a Eumig which looks '70s, ish.

After an initial smell of burning dust everything is fine and the colour and feel of projected Kodachrome is something I had forgotten. Just fantastic.

Just keep the film moving and it won't burn or melt. To be honest, if you lost half a dozen frames it probably wouldn't matter too much. Splicing is easy.

It is Saturday here in Pensacola, USA. The weather has been hot but very good for photography if you can stand the heat. The light is very nice looking. We have been avoiding storms, and this results in good weather here.

What are you up to this weekend?

I am unsure what to do photographically this weekend. I just need to get the energy to leave our home and to take some photos.

It is weekend again, and the sun is shining full force here on Pensacola. We have had broken heat records several times the past few days, but the sky looks great and if you can manage extreme heat, it is great photography weather.
I am debating what to do!

What are your weekend photography plans or actions so far?

Well by contrast, it's snowing in Alberta. We usually get at least one cold-front driven storm that results in snow in August or September. I was dry-mounting prints last night. Tonight I'll print some more with some 1994 (French made) Zone VI Brilliant paper..... it's lovely stuff.... but need to punch it up a little with some benzotriazole.

I went up to London to look at and photograph the recent Battle of Britain memorial, got caught up in a large demonstration of ex-army bikers, and then did some street photography in Soho. Upside was a clement day, downside was the realisation there are no loos in the Whitehall area. Not something that's mentioned much in street photography videos...

A good day.

Home, working on editing etc etc...
I have too many photos around...I need to find a more organized solution...and still working for the november Polaroid exhibition...

Yes I know! Stuck in it right now in Banff/Canmore on a vacation trip. Not driving the right car & tires for this stuff. I gather this is the edge of a system much worse in the areas further SE. But out on foot in the cold getting some hopefully interesting photos.. 🙂
