Weekend Photography Plans: What are you up to?

Myself, I don't hunt, but I live in a rural area where hunting is part of the local culture. Schools will close on opening day of firearm deer season (November 15th) to allow high school kids a chance to hunt. I'm looking forward to scanning my B&W negs of the "buck pole" tomorrow.

I just got back late last night from a week long photography workshop in the area around New Orleans. We spent one night at Oak Alley Plantation and went on several kayak trips in the swamp near Lafayette, LA. The Arctic Freeze that gripped the nation last week also came to Louisiana and we were taking pictures in 27 degree weather from our kayaks! I just about froze my **** off :bang:

Did you enjoy listening to Jazz and Blues?

I loved going to a club in the French Quarter this past Friday night. I only wish we could have stayed longer as the group was very good.

One of the folks in our group had a bad experience trying to take a picture of a street musician in the French Quarter. She didn't ask his permission and he got all bent out of shape and came running after her demanding that she delete the image while he watched her delete it.

Must have been scary.
I once took a photo on bourbon street of a man dancing with a very you g looking girl. He told me that he would “get me” if he sees this image posted anywhere. I published an article in Shutterbug magazine on night photography in the French Quarter.

Thanks Raid, best wishes to you and all other RFF members as well. For sure there will be many photo opportunities in the next days.

Nobody has posted about any weekend activities for 3 weeks. Maybe it is my fault.

I will try to reach the reach to take some photos this weekend.
What are your plans for this weekend?

Watching eBay to see if the UR Leica Replica I listed sells so I can send Igor 400$ for a new very old camera!

In SE Asia, this is the weekend of the Lunar New Year migration...the largest migration of people in the world. Hundreds of millions of people are moving from the big cities to the places they were borne. By tomorrow, I should be able to shoot some pics of quiet streets in Ho Chi Minh City.

As I said...'in SE Asia' and 'that includes China and you'll see the same migrations happening in South Korea, Taiwan, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar and Thailand. Not in Japan, which celebrates the NY on 1 January. Cheers, OtL

Developing a single roll of HP5 pushed to 1600 in Microphen.

I am usually doing my own film 4 rolls in a 4 roll tank, but my son doesn't shoot the same film at the same speed twice, so he gets the custom treatment, but it's only 11 minutes right?

Snow event today, so stuck indoors. I'll probably do some PS work on a few cell phone pics I took for our local Arts Council's Instagram page. Probably pull out the snow blower too.
