Weekend Photography Plans: What are you up to?

need find a few scenes to finish off the Certo Super Dollina/Zorki test roll and than test Fomadon LQN developer with that roll (fomapan 400). Curious to see the difference to the usual Rodinal stand dev i do with fomapan

I charged a battery for one of my two digital cameras (to keep it 'ready'), then went out for one of my regular walks without taking a camera (assuming that I wouldn't see a picture). And I didn't, which validated my strategy.

As retirees, our weekend schedule is flexible. We tend to do weekend travel and activities in the middle of the week instead of at the end. Better rates and less crowded that way. Here’s a few pictures from our recent trip to the southern tip of Izu peninsula (Feb 3-5, 2026)

Seeing earlier posts of making booklets I had my most abundant attribute tickled: vanity. After being pestered by various printing houses I succumbed and put together a collection of shots of what is just down the hill from my back door: ships and boats and the people about them. I used a number of cameras for this. They are listed in the back in reference to each photo. Good, bad or otherwise it is all I have to offer. I hope some can find pleasure or amusement in one or some of them.

Can you please share a bit about the materials, brand, size, adhesion method, etc. you are using to do this?

OK. The printer is an old Canon Selphy CP1200. I think the current version is the CP1500. They both take the same cartridges and paper. They are wireless and printing is usually done through wifi from an app on my phone.

This is a dye sublimation printer that prints 6x4s. It doesn't use ink, but when you buy a box of paper it comes with a cartridge that has the right amount of coloured sheets in it for the number of pieces of paper in the box.

I use an artists spiral bound watercolour sketch book in A5 size (about half US letter size) to stick the prints in. You can easily write notes and so on to accompany the prints.

I started using PVA glue to stick the prints in the book, but this is messy and slightly buckled the paper so I switched to double sided tape.

I have my archive in Lightroom (cloud) so I can sit with a laptop and edit and then transfer the file to my phone via the apple photos app. It can then be printed using the Canon app. I think there is probably a way to print directly from the laptop but I haven't bothered with this.

Here are some links to the items mentioned from Amazon UK.
