I have an Afga Isolette III with a Prontor shutter. The shutter started misbehaving. And at one point locked up. I had no other option but to open it up and try to fix it myself (Shipping it for a repair would have been more expensive than the price of the camera.)

After doing some research, I started at it. Removing the lens unit from the camera body is actually very easy. But the internal workings of the shutter can become complicated. I was able to locate where the problem was (see the picture with red circle).

I wanted to share some pictures of the assembly. If anyone is interested in specific instructions, please let me know.

That thing looks like someone was banging on it with a rock! What happened?

Looks like somebody tried to force the self timer mechanism and that bent the pin?

I'm more surprised of OP not removing all glass elements when working on the shutter (maybe to avoid later recollimation?)

I was surprised to see it too. I may have used a bit of force before to move it, but wasn't expecting that much. Nevertheless, it is back to normal and working without a flaw.
