Wet Scanning V750

I saw a thread (and can't find again) with instructions for wet-scanning with the Epson V750. The user also had alternate supplies to the expensive Aztek kit.
Does anyone have that link, or sources for the mounting fluid and mylar?

No, but I did see it recently. Keep googling. The requirements were ANR glass from photo frame, Mylar or polyester film, adhesive tape and wet mount fluid. And some cardboard spacers to get correct focus.

Yea, I think that is what it was. The part I wanted was the link to Fluid that was not advertised as wet scanning fluid but was the same thing and much cheaper...

Wasn't sure... You need the wet mount fluid... 😱

You should use clear glass, not ANR glass.
I use a mylar branded Duralar, which has great optical clarity:

For liquid I use 99% Isopropyl alcohol. I found a pdf on Kodak's website that recommended 98% alcohol or higher as a film cleaner that is safe for the emulsion. I use a generic pump spray bottle to apply it without evaporation. I never used any of the dedicated liquids, so I can't compare, but this seems to work fine. Don't leave the bottle open, because the water content will increase.

There are some clips on youtube showing how it is done. It is fairly simple really.

I ordered some duralar, I already have the epson wet-mount tray.
I just need a roller and fluid and I'm in business! 🙂
