I would certainly welcome IS in the NEX, as I've had it in DSLRs for a long time. Granted, I can hand-hold the NEX at slower speeds than DSLRs, since there is no mirror.
The only issue I'd see with having IS is that it could make the camera bigger. Plus, the NEX's bigger sensor size/better high ISO negates some of the advantage of the Pen's IS, because I can use a higher ISO with NEX, so it isn't quite as necessary.
Douglas - where did you obtain that cool little adapter to mount that Leica VF on your Nex! I'm leaning toward NEX over 4/3 but the lack of an accessory shoe bothers me a bit.

Well, just remove a screw or two on the Sony 16mm OVF, and you can remove the viewfinder assembly, revealing a cold shoe. Granted, spending $200 on the OVF for this use is overboard!
Hang tight, because it looks like some cheap options are about to hit the market:

I wondered about that! Many thanks!
BTW- the Sony 16 finder is down to $158 at B&H in NYC. This is comparable to (or cheaper than) most CV finders! (And I bet CV makes the Sony finder...)

Well, shoot, there goes the value of my OVF. I was thinking about selling it once a cold shoe is available for NEX, since I'm not using the 16mm OVF very often.
