Thanks Robin and Mr Phillip, It was pretty easy. Morgan at Camera Leather has more choices but the stuff from AKIHIRO fit better than any I've ever done.

electrical tape skin rocks. If your camera is struck by lightning while you're holding you'll be safe.

I'm tempted to explain the difference between their football and the "real" game, but I guess you antipodeans will have another 4 years to learn that!
(Sorry, I couldn't resist
OK - you could try to explain Aussie rules footie to make things even.

If it is, please share with us how it feels.
Beautiful set !
Roland.
I finally bit the bullet a few months ago and recovered my made-in-1954/mine-since-1972 M3. I used Griptac and very, very highly recommend it. It looks almost like vulcanite - the edges are a little sharper, but this really does make for a very secure grip.
BTW, for anyone doing this job, I very highly recommend checking the cameraleather.com site for instructions on how to use hand sanitizer. It gives much better working time than the old water/alcohol solution. (Just don't use too much or you'll have TOO MUCH working time...you'll be sitting there for an hour making sure everything is where it is supposed to be.)
