Hmmm...

I think that maybe I've found the 'different signature' lens I was looking for...

Negs are still hanging in the shower, so more tomorrow. If they came out as I think, maybe I'm already set up with 35s :D

Then, maybe not.

what lens, well, look at Germany first, then move to the east... ;) but as I said, I could be wrong, I don't trust drying negatives, they are devilish !

Rover, we NEED to know...

It fell in the category of a deal too good to pass up.

Next week I will complete my Canon 50 journey when I meet a fine gentleman and releave him of his spare 50/1.4, and, well, the Canon 35/2 is sooooo tiny and well spoken of, I couldn't pass on it. I have been saying that too often though recently, so I think I am cut of again.

Way to go, rover! Now we'll need to find 40mm filters :)

Gandy's looks ok, but is a little pricey. I'm still waiting for the "heavystar" guy (who makes the 40.5 and 39mm hoods on other posts) come out with a 40mm hood.

I have picked up a series VI hood, filters and rings, in lots I have won cheaply. When I get the next lot in the mail I will have to take stock in what I have and what is extra. I may have an extra retaining ring in the least that I will pass on to you. If so, then you could use the series VI filters which are easier to find.

I have come into some good fortune over the past couple weeks, have lots to be happy about.

Thanks, Ralph.

Joe, he'll might let you play with it in June, if ya promise not to drop it ;)

Just kidding...

now, THAT hurts...

joe sadly walks away from the computer, his bald head in his hairy hands, weeping and gnashing his teeth...maybe i'll get a m2 he mumbles...

We would warmly welcome you home Joe. Of course you would have to figure out what to do in November, December and March because we generally are not up to our belly-buttons in snow like you have become used to in Edmonton. But hay, in a couple years you will realize that having 3 extra months in your year means that life really isn't that short and you really do have time to do those things you want to do.
