After a three years of using them daily, I'm thinking of selling my pair of Hexar RF bodies; I'm just not using them since getting my M6. I'm not sure how to price them though. Most of these that I've seen for sale recently have been in like new or excellent condition, with prices ranging from $600 to $800 - they seem to have gone up over the last year - but mine aren't in excellent shape. They are probably more like bargain or even ugly but working condition.
Both have a bit of paint loss along the edges and some wear on the knurling of the shutter speed dial. That's the extent of the wear on the first body, but the second body has had a harder life. It's missing the screw to hold in the frame preview lever - currently held on with tape - has a slightly loose frame advance switch - can be tightened if you take off the top deck - and finally, the rear lens of the eyepiece has been replaced with non-original equipment. The lens focal length still matches, and hence the rangefinder is not impaceted, but it looks a little goofy.
Both cameras work fine, meter accurately, and have clean and accurate rangefinders. They haven't been abused or used professionally, just used as everyday shooters for a couple of years. I'm sure they'd continue to give someone good service in that role, but I don't know how to price them.
What would be fair for these? I'd probably be selling a 28 and 90 Hex with them (both in excellent shape) as well as a Biogon 35 F2 (also excellent). Of course, I'd be offering them for sale in the rff classifieds.

last fall some one sold two 'user condition' HRF's for around $500-525 each IIRC... one had the front VF window replaced with a piece of glass that had been glued in with residual adhesive on the camera, can't remember the condition of the others..
perhaps the seller or those who bought them could post photos and describe the condition so that you can use them as a baseline for pricing yours...

I had been watching the 35 Biogons closely before I decided to purchase mine new, they were going for between $600-650. $650 with hood and usually a filter.

OK, thanks for that data point.
I'd been thinking in the 600 range for the biogon.
I would be willing to pay fourteen dollars for both of them. I would pay by paypal immediately.

You might contact Greg Weber at www.weber.com for a comment, or even a offer. Greg is THE HexRF repair guy and always needs parts.

Harry, I hadn't thought of Greg Weber, but that's a good idea. I'll drop him a line.

The best camera is one that still works!
I bought an RF from a memeber a year or so ago which almost fits your description. It had a missing frame preview lever and a bit of paint missing around the camera but was fine mechanically. By the time I got it to Oz from the UK it owed me around $400.00 USD and I resold it for similar.

More than I can afford. Perhaps a long term loan so I can help you ... determine it's value! Yeah, that's it!

lol the website is http://www.webercamera.com/ not the one that takes you to the kettle BBQs...
An hour or two with that kind of weber is unlikely to improve its condition ;-)

I have been listing my Limited version of Hexar RF body for $650 without any interest, which means $650 is too high...
As for the lenses, I can only speak about the Biogon, but I have bought two of those for $600 and $650 recently.

Heh, well, needs change. The Hexar's are great camera's, and more capable than the M6 in many ways, but I think I actually need the restrictions of the Leica at this point.
