What are the worst words in photography?

"Are you a photographer?" (Said while either looking at one of my prints, or standing in front of me as I hold some serious looking camera equipment.)

"Are you a photographer?" ranks up high for me too! Along with HDR, and " I shoot a DSLR"

"Why? Nobody shoots film anymore" when I tell them I have film in my camera. ?!?!?!!!

"Your pictures are nice. You should get a digital camera." :banghead:

"According to the newest PopPhoto test..." :proceedtovomitonshoes:

To be entirely fair, the vast majority of responses is "That's so cool, I love film."

"I shoot street." - I've nothing against street photography, but this (non) sentence really bugs me. Oh, and "glass".

I, too, am amazed at people's thoughts on film.

Them: "What kind of film does it take?"
Me: "Thirty-five millimeter."
Them: "They still make that?"
Me: "They sell it at the corner drugstore."

I was reminded about another one today at work; "I'm a photographer too...I have a digital rebel."

Hey hey hey I use a new Rebel for my professional work. My work requirements are limited however. I just need a sensor and macro lens pretty much.

Also, the term "capture" irks me for some reason.

but honestly, chicks with leica are extremely proud. they stare at one's DSLR as if its a disease. i think that's unfair.
