My 2015 least favorite slang people are now applying to inedible objects is:

"Yummy"

I've actually felt like cancelling a lens sale when someone says they want to buy my xyz lens because of it's "yummy" bokeh, tones, etc. Makes me want to puke, and that's not yummy.

It's as if they are implying they make a living from their hobbyist cameras. That they have no interest in their cameras apart from utilitarian reasons. b@@@@@@t. Rant over ��

Guilty for using the words 'renders' and 'it draws' a few too many times, I have to be honest. I shall try harder in this regard in 2016.

Worst for me, and I hear it a lot (and often from the mother in law):

"Why do you just shoot in black and white?"

To me this is perhaps the ultimate 'If you have to ask the question...you wouldn't understand the answer" statement.

Close runner up: "Do you STILL use film?"

Yes, and painters still use watercolour paints.

Just recently in Prague, from a tourist: "You use film? Why?" I find it annoying, but I lucked out. It was on Charles Bridge, and there was a street artist right next to us, so I just said, "I don't know -- I guess for the same reason that guy uses charcoal."

a few minutes later ....

"I'm going to have to ask you to stop photographing this event."

I guess the big Metz 45CL3 hanging off my massive Canon EOS5 made me look too professional...
