You posted this while I was typing and it reminded me of how much I like "Wish You Were Here"!Pink Floyd and right now 'shine on you crazy diamond'
So, I decided that was what I wanted to crank while the wax dries.
Hopefully I can get another coat on the floor before lunch and another couple this afternoon. Then I can relax a bit before the rest of the seasonal shut down for my kitchen.

It might not be music to some of you but it is a thunderstorm in Paris, France. Beautiful

Joy Division's Unknown Pleasures. It still blows me away every time I give it a listen.
Earlier today, I put on another of my favorites - Einstürzende Neubauten's Haus der Lüge. Noise can be quite melodic and beautiful indeed.
Nest up in the playlist after Ian Curtis&Co is the good ol' Grateful Dead - a live tape from their 23rd of January, 1970 Honolulu show.

I am writing my thesis about policies towards small islands - a comparative study between a couple of islands in my native Croatia and a couple of islands in Newfoundland, Canada. And as I sit on this sunny, but cold Newfoundland day, I miss those lovely warm, Croatian evenings so I am listening to Klapa Cambi. The klapa music is a form of traditional Croatian a cappella singing, says wikipedia.

The lyrics are something like:
My beautiful, I am starting to show my years
like young grapevines in the fields, and the winters are knocking at my windows
but my youth is still mocking
these storms that are coming from the south, threatening us
My beautiful, the most beautiful of them all
offer me your love at dawn
and let me admire your body
while your youth mocks these storms that are coming from the south, threatening us
My beautiful, if the stars couldn't see you
they wouldn't know with whom to share the heavens
my beautiful, be my bride
be the firefly on my paths
Just last month I had an exhibit of island landscapes and you can check the photos here: http://bojanfurst.com/?page_id=1838

@sykotec: I hear you. I hate teleconferences - so rarely something truly productive gets accomplished that way.
