Mike Oldfield's music: 1973's Tubular Bells.
First time I heard this was in 1973 and I was 13. And it was astonishingly good then.
Still is astonishing in 2020. I do now have the benefit of owning the house and the speakers so it just might be playing a "little" louder than I could play the record back when it was released.
:D

Rob

I just bought a beaten up but playable vinyl copy of this for 5€ for two reasons:
1. My 9 year old wanted to learn how to scratch
2. Fond memories of my High School history teacher playing it for us in class - not that I can remember what he told us about it. ;)

Worth every penny on both counts.
Cheers,
Rob

I recently got into Hamilton Leithauser in a big way. Check out his NPR Tiny Desk (Home) Concert to see why. In fact, I recommend browsing through all of the NPR Tiny Desk Concerts on YouTube if you are In the mood to discover both live performances from your favourite artists and similar (or not) new artists!

ah, nuts....
Putting on the "Now He Sings, Now He Sobs" CD.
Chick's music is "accessible" to all, even those who aren't hard core jazz fans but it is still Real Jazz.

Thanks, ray. :-(
