What are you listening to at the moment?

Nick Cave's The Boatman's Call, playing right at this moment. I've always sort of marginally liked Cave's work from what I've heard of it (I'm also a fan of Blixa Bargeld since seeing him perform live with Einsturzende Neubauten, and I love "Wings of Desire", even that odd Cave-involved ending), but recently I've felt the need to engage with it more fully.

So I bought this CD--listening to it through my vintage Pioneer SX-750--and have Push the Sky Away on the way as well.

Good lord, this is soooo damn brilliant. I wish I'd gotten into this record, the whole album, 25 years ago. Particularly when it was released, as I was living in Germany at the time (where I got into lots of music quite new to me), this would have been world-changing for me.

Soooo, Cave fans: I've done a bit of reading on it, but where should I go next after these two records? Feel free to PM me, as commenting would be rather off the actual thrust of this thread, and I don't want to hijack it. Cheers!

One of the greatest musical discoveries I have made came recently and it was The Punch Brothers. Just extraordinary ... I can't believe I never noticed them before.

If you're into good blue grass and I confess I am it doesn't get much better than this! Tony Rice is probably the best flat picker there has ever been and then there is Bela Fleck, Jerry Douglas, Sam Bush and Mark O'connor in the line up. Audio quality is good but the video isn't that great. This is one of my most watched youtube clips! :)

I’ve been listening to Bono’s audio version of his memoir, Surrender. It’s really outstanding… if you’re a fan and maybe even if you’re not. This has, of course, kicked off a U2 binge. I overdosed on them in my teens and then lost interest, so it’s fun to go back to it after about 30 years. They are an unusual band in several respects.

This is surprisingly good. Whoever “Puddles” is, he recomposed the classic Black Sabbath song for piano.

I am spinning the Capitol Starline reissue 45 of Roy Acuff's "The Wreck On The Highway". Local music. As he is from near Knoxville, TN in Union County, TN. As primal as old time music gets.

it's nostalgic for me to listen to this 11 year old AKB48 song; 'Give me Five', 11-year is like 33 AKB48 years...

there are many 'good' AKB48 songs, i like this one a lot, lyrics is always written by the AKB48 creator and producer Mr Akimoto 秋元 康 ( if he didn't write the lyrics it's not an

AKB48 song), this MV is the only one that gives the Full song, all others cut the last verse, which says;

'No matter how many photos you took, you can not hold on to even one thing'... this make me Sad...

I think there is a 7 mins 'Story MV' out there, but i can't find them...but i can find a two hour ' Give me Five Cover Contest' on Youtube...from Elementary School Band', House wife Band to Punk Rock Band covering the song...

All my favorite AKB48 member were here, Maeda Atsuko, Oshima Yuko...of course the all 'Graduated' from AKB48 now...

'Give Me Five'

it's a sad song for me...
So, i'm going Temu.com shopping next
