I've been listening to "Sly and the Family Stone's greatest hits" (on CD) rather frequently lately. Their music has always resonated with me. I think they were ahead of their time; a mixed race, mixed sex, R&B funk Pop group... they had it all. Brilliant songs! I don't think there will ever be another band like them again.
