Streetlight Manifesto right now, but I've been listening to Joy Division a lot lately, both of which I have my AP English teacher to thank for.

I decided I've had enough of the same old rock songs I've been listening for decades; trying to get "in to" (frankly) crappy new rock; and (sorry) the handful of jazz - Coltrane mostly, I listen to.
So, I reasoned that I could make the best use of my time trying to master a radical language, Japanese (which I picked out of a hat...) I figure that will keep me occupied for some time and at least I would learn something other than the lyrics to "Bron-Y-Aur Stomp".
So if you see some mental patient in a black convertible trying to pronounce "wakatimas" on the Blue Route or PA Turnpike in the mornings, that would be me. So far I'm up to lesson 32 out of 90 (each lesson 1/2 hour each, listen to 2 or 3 times after the first ten or so...)

I went and saw Wilco last night. What a great show! If anybody gets a chance to see them, do it! Also pick up thier latest CD, Sky Blue Sky, and support one truly great American band! Oh...and that's what I'm listening to right now, the song "Side with the Seeds"
