I'm listening to, well, myself in the podcast of the "Turkey Confidential" broadcast of the Splendid Table radio show from last Thursday.
A bit surreal, I'm not used to hearing my own voice from out side my head!

Those Low-Down Blues on KJZZ. Bob Corritore created and began hosting this show on the local public radio station around the time I arrived in Arizona, in 1983, and I've been a dedicated listener ever since. He not only has maybe the deepest blues (and classic R&B, gospel and soul) record collection ever but he also is a superb harmonica player and owns and books the talent at The Rhythm Room in Phoenix.

Apparently I'm not.:( I called in and was on the air on turkey day but am not in the podcast. I can't imagine I missed hearing me but I may listen again to be sure.

Ziggy, the family pet parrot whistling 'Tom Hark' as popularised by Elias and his zig-zag jive flutes.

I'm very pleased with myself for having taught him that over the last 7 days.

At the moment it's the rare sound of rain outside. But later it will be Buddy Guy "Sweet Tea" then maybe some Portishead or Goldfrapp. Also, the Doors are never far away from the sound machine...

I must be a bit depressed. I am listening to the soundtrack from Schindler's List. I always listen to the soundtrack from Schindler's list when I am depressed.
