What are you listening to at the moment?

Schreker's "Die Gezeichneten". A bit like Korngolds "Die Tote Stadt", it's tunes haunt me for days. An hour or two of bliss before the Philistines arrive home and say, "can you turn down that infernal racket please". Sigh!!!

Surfing the net, came across this

Lately I pretty much only listen to dub reggae. It really makes me happy.
Its nice to listen to in headphones when walking around shooting in the streets. I'm relaxed, and it rubs off on people.

The Oh Sees - Hang A Picture. From the album Putrifiers II (2012). Very nice psychedelic rockabilly-like stuff:D!

Here with a nice road-rage clip off youtube:

Sweet band, saw them play a gay biker bar here in SF back in 2010, great energy to their live set...

Listening to Underworld's "Second Toughest in The Infants" on reeeepeeeeeat.

David Bowie and Queen: Under Pressure

Insanity laughs under pressure we're cracking
Can't we give ourselves one more chance?
Why can't we give love that one more chance?

'Cause love's such an old-fashioned word
And love dares you to care for
The people on the edge of the night
And love dares you to change our way of
Caring about ourselves

Still can't get enough of the Joel Plaskett Emergency's Scrappy Happiness.

That, and two of my high school faves that aren't available on digital (ARGH!): Thomas Dolby's Blinded By Science EP, and the brilliant No Stranger to Danger by the Payola$.

I am this: old. ;)

The Orb's "The Orb's Adventures Beyond The Ultraworld". Have listened to this one for 15 years and never get tired of it.

The new NIN on iTunes streaming. Not the album I hoped for, but I keep hoping it will grow on me once it officially releases and I can hear it in the car and headphones.
