What are you listening to at the moment?

If you're of an age that watched and enjoyed Johnny Carson, ...
Yes, I find myself waxing nostalgic at old Johnny Carson clips on YouTube and wonder what the heck happened to Western Civilization. Miss those old time performers of my parent's generation. Didn't appreciate them then as much as I do now.

Chuck Mangione - Feels So Good (album name and title track)

This hit the airwaves in March of1977
Genre: Smooth Jazz, Easy Listening
Label: A&M

Who would have thought that a 9 minute+ flugelhorn song would be so popular. Welcome to the '70s!

Some people said it was too long, pretentious, monotonous and boring... I think it's a masterpiece! I have it on CD.

All the best,
Mike

The Vapors: I think I'm turning Japanese.
Classic 80s tune on one of my tube amps connected to my computer. I love the old/new juxtaposition every time I work in my [home] office.

Mahler 5th Symphony
Concertgebouw Amsterdam
Bernard Haitink
recorded by Decca, in the late 1960's. Both performance and sound are exemplary.
thanks Tidal streaming!

Not music....podcasts. Great interview of Niall Ferguson of Hoover Institute at Stanford. Saefedean ammous Bitcoin Standard Podcast. Probably will go down as one of the great historians.

i'm using Chinese Aiyama hybrid tube amp, (US) Pioneer speaker designed by Andrew Jones (US), sounds very good!

Taipei, when I use headphones more often than not I use my Chinese Little Dot Mark III tube headphone amp.
Have had it for about 8 years and still very satisfied.

Bad Religion: The Voice of God is Government
Today it's playing through a seperate preamp and amp I designed and built last year (or year before). Almost all tube -- design issues forced me to use MOSFETs in place of the usual cathode-follower stage. Speakers are bookshelf Infinity Reference One. Not so sure they're "reference", but sound nice.
Next up: Dave Brubeck
