I've got Marantz 2325 but the Klipsh bookshelve's while good at low volume, are no match cranked to decent speakers. But living in small space, the bookshelves work in adobe/acoustical room.

"100 Years" by Five for Fighting just this moment... It touches something deep inside as I look at my 70th birthday coming up in a couple of weeks. 😶

Someone who knew what they were saying, once said music feeds the soul.
Seems there is a lot of soul here on RFF...
Listening to Jazz 24 just now as I'm in Malaysia. It's my go-to network when I'm traveling. Otherwise when I feel I want to be more selective, I pick at random from YouTube or Spotify. The former is a treasure-trove of odd, unusual and long forgotten music from the past, of every description.
My collection of several thousand CDs is at home in Australia. Mostly securely packed away in our temperature-regulated garage. It was that or divorce.

I find music (recorded or streamed over radio stations) usually makes me drowsy after a while when I'm driving long distances, so I mostly load up on a few audiobooks and listen to stories and/or lectures.
This morning's listen is continuing on Stephen Fry's reading of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's "Sherlock Holmes" stories. I think I'm on the fourth or fifth book right now.

the first time i heard this song was at the end part of a 3-hour Military Parade in October, 2009 in Beijing, China ( i watched it on Youtube years later )
'The Song and the Smile' '歌聲 與 微笑' was written in 1986 by Gu Jian-fen 谷 建芬 ( 1935- ) it's a great song, and covered by several artists even from Taiwan
regular cover; CCTV 1989
Covered by Japanese Pop Rock group 'Glay' in Beijing;
Covered by Li Zi 李志; one of the best song writer and performer from China
