I just discovered a great project called Grim. They play recent classical music in post-rock style. I have the Arvo Pärt cd, I'll be ordering their Satie cd real soon.
Although I hated it as a child, I recently fell in love with Portuguese fado music. I especially like music by the Portuguese band called Madredeus and their lead singer Teresa Salgueiro. Their music is not necessarily fado but certainly an evolution of it.
