I'm bit of a nut for Portuguese Fado. I'm listening to a lot of Teresa Salgueiro and Madredeus at home along with music by Mariza. I have a CD called Coimbra Espirito e Raiz, which is a collaboration between the legendary Luiz Goes and João Moura, in one car and I have a Dave Brubeck CD in the other. I'm also listening to more Leonard Cohen stuff in anticipation of the upcoming movie. I got Black Crows, Sloan, Judas Priest, The Who and various other classic CDs scattered on my coffee table in case I feel the need to rock out.

In my favorite leather reading chair, feet on the ottoman. Bill Evans, John Coltrane, and Eva Cassidy in the player. Picked up a bottle of 10 yr old Springbank this afternoon. Life is good.

if you mean this very minute, then sadly, the air conditioner.
if you mean these days, then, Alana Davis' Surrender Dorothy. Her version of The Reaper is awesome (but needs more cowbell).

I couldn't stomach listening to the Mets lose to the "mighty"
Pirates again yesterday, so I popped in the CD I found in my
wife's car of Richard Shindell's first album, Sparrow's Point.
The CD made nice company on the drive back from the Berkshires,
and brought back a flood of memories of those days, circa 1991,
when we were first married...
"Excelsior, you fathead!"

Currently up on the iPod... the album Hang On Little Tomato by Pink Martini. I'm in a Latin mood so I'll probably punch up some flamenco guitar afterwards.

Ignore It (It'll go away)
On headphones really loud (or so my wife says. Her: it's loud! Me: What?): Killing Joke's Democracy, specifically the song 'Democracy' "Sorry, Democracy is changing."
