What are you up to today?

I promised the wife I would do the fall cleaning in the master bedroom the first free day we had. It's mid January and this was our first free day.
Move the bed, vac the corners, do the windows etc.
Now a few aspirin and a nap.

No so quick with the nap, brother! While you've got your apron on, you are welcome to pop around and do a bit here :p

After taking the dogs out for our afternoon walk its 'camera time' !
Have a Bessa R that doesn't focus at infinity with any of the lenses I have tried.
So out will come the screwdrivers and the eyeglass and I intend to try to adjust that middle scew - found instructions on the net!

Well I combined getting bread with taking some photos first thing, but did not finish the roll. Got some empty film cans from a parasite corp, my wife took the films onto a independent to process (corporations get as little as poss). Im trying to spend my first day oxycontin free, its been a hard month of withdrawal.

Had a go at my Bessa R infinity focus.
No real trouble in getting at the screw concerned.
Amazed at how tight it was/is and how little a turn is needed to make a massive difference in the alignment!
Can't say that it is perfect but focus at a mile away is only a fraction out. As for adjusting using the moon ........ !
Alignment at the recommended 1 metre might be a centimetre out, so I reckon that's probably as good as I will get things.
A profitable afternoon - 45 mins really after I lost a screw only to find it on the end of my magnetic screwdriver!

Finally have scanned this film, the first series of shots are available at my facebook photography page (until i publish it to http://mortilla.ro)

http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=54459&id=187010567991977

it's a series of photos taken in Prague in 2010, but that street was the setup for a film scene which should be happening in France (either Paris, or more likely Lyon, due to the 69 ending number on car plates) in the end of 70's - beginning of 80's.

For those curious about the camera / lens / film setup:
Contax IIIa, Zeiss-Opton Sonnar 50/2, Fomapan 400
trash-developed in Ilfotec LC-29 1+19 (trash-developed= I tend to get messy when developing). Obsolete material and no photoflo = dust+gritty

A couple of other shots in attachment.

I just pulled out the old Nikon Compendium book...going to do a bit of research on a few things...oh, yeah I did use my Nikon F2a this morning...took a few shots in the backyard...

Out running errands today, stopped by a local store that has a small pond where many ducks and geese play. They are always there, even in -1 C weather. Took some pictures of them with the Hasselblad SWC. Some let me get close, like 1 meter. Was a roll of Fuji Pro 160S in 220 format so I need to finish many more pictures before I develop it. Just not much to shoot here in the winter.

Scanned a roll of film, spent the evening trying to figure out why a Konica Auto S3 is dead (corroded wires, dead meter, going back to the seller or getting a partial refund on this one), trying to figure how how the shutter button on a Minolta Auto Semi is suppose to connect to the shutter.

Probably developing a roll of film in a few minutes before bed.
