Marion Ettlinger once took photos of my wife for six hours while I strollered our then-one-year-old around Chelsea all day. I kept stopping in the studio so that she could nurse the baby, and at these times I was offered (sorry, can't remember the brand) some really, really freaking fantastic single-malt scotch.

A glass (or two) of some good wine seems to put folks at ease.

Not a good idea at all. Red wine makes sleepy which only adds to the "droopy eye" problem. Most people open one eye sligltly wider than the other. In my experience this gets worse the more tired someone is.

Besides, unless you're trying to get into the models pants there's no point in serving alcohol at a portrait shoot. It's still work, not a party and while you want the model to loosen up you may not like them when they're drunk. IMO you should rely on your social skills to make the model feel at ease and loosen up.

You left out diet Coke, fruit juice, or other alternatives. In case they're Mormons.

Goog point. Unfortunately I was culturally insensitive when populating the options to the poll and now can't figure out how to add additional extra options. But thanks for recording these important alternatives!
