Not a weenie. Use what is right for you.

These days I mostly use a pair of IIIc's. Maybe it's a season of life thing. They are small, fit in a pocket and I almost always carry one. If it's something important then I will use a Leica M or Nikon F but I am just a casual hobbyist and the IIIc fits me. It's also been quite liberating to spend ten years not using/carrying a light meter. Use what works for you. Joe

Both.

Lately it has been my Leica 3 because it is easy to carry it in the pocket with the Elmar 50. But, if I am working indoors then I carry the Bessa R for the obvious reasons.

But that will pass and I'll be back to the M-A and the ZI. Again, the ZI usually gets the indoor nod.

Both, my III with 50mm Elmar Red Scale fits in any pocket and goes with me a lot of days.

My M2 with it's 50mm Summicron is an amazing machine but its size means it won't fit in a pocket therefore only goes with me when I'm carrying a bag of some kind.

Both...

IIIf, Canon 28 f/2.8, 50 f/1.8, & 135 f3.5

MP, 28 f/2.8 Elmarit-M ASPH & 50 f/1.4 Summilux-M ASPH plus CV15 f/4.5

The MP gets more use, but I also love the IIIf ; )

Michael, it's definitely something you get better at with time.

Especially if you have a few extra take up spools to prime a few rolls for loading.

I'm sure you do. On the other hand, I believe Leica just made it better with time, and it turned into an M... 😀

Alexander, don't judge the guy too hard for his lack of forum etiquette. He's 15 years old. Let's be happy that he wants to be a member of this group!

Oh wow really? He's only 15 eh? No wonder his lack of etiquette of just disappearing when he contacted me saying he was interested in buying something from me and then pissing off with no reply on whatsapp. (On a buysell forum in HK)

Depends. Both or neither. Mostly M, occasionally LTM. Plus medium format. The poll assumes a binary world but camera systems are much more vast (and more fun as a result).

I frequently use the Bessa R...so is it an LTM with the handling of an M? Am I a closted M user?
I also have an M 6 but the last few times I traveled I took the R

The R is lighter, right?

In terms of Leica, I have the IIIf and I use it. Just put a roll through it over the weekend in fact. I also have a Bessa R - it speeds things up and I like it, but it is still LTM. The only M mount camera I have is a Bessa T and I hardly use it. One thing I don't have any M lenses.

Both. If I know I may have to shoot quickly in uneven light, it will be an M with metering. If I think I'll have time to work more deliberately, a pair of IIIa cameras with 35 Elmar, 50 Summar, and 90 Elmar. In black and white, the older non-coated lenses are a treat.

I use my M2 considerably more than my Leotax F but love them both for different reasons. I sometimes take both out with different focal length lenses on each to save the hassle of changing lens. My Topcor-S 5cm f2 pretty much lives on the Leotax where as the M2 has either CZ 35f2 or 25f2.8 .
