Well I've finally just started Proust's 'A la Recherche du Temps Perdu'. I reckon it will take me about a year to get through. I tried for ages to get together my own Proust Support Group but nobody was game so it's a solo effort!
On the side I'm re-reading (an annual event) Samuel Johnson's 'Rasselas'.

Just finished The Quiet Game by Greg Iles and just starting Geisha; I'm all of two pages in--I was too tired to get any further with it last night before I nodded off(dern job). Also just found some late 50's sci-fi magazines at the local goodwill. I recognize some of the authors and have read some of the others so these will be fun!
Decided against reading the last Carl Hiassen novel my sister lent me: I like what I've read but, like Dan Brown's books, getting to be predictable. Great fun in small doses, though!

Edit: Also recently finished the third book ( The Stone Woman ) of Tariq Ali's "Islam Quintet" and have ordered the fourth ( A Sultan In Palermo ) from my local bookstore.
