What camera do you think has the sweetest shutter sound

Not sure why I read to page 3 but anyway... frankly no idea. The two most memorable so far are the near-silent click of the Compur shutter in my friend's old pre-war Bessa 6x9, to the opposite end of the scale in a Kodak EK8 instant RF, which was a massive crunch followed by much mechanical noise, a bit like someone starting a chainsaw, as it did its thing. I should have videoed it before I sold it! I thin you would hope for a fast enough exposure before the subject flinched.

Jokes aside. I really like the very impractical shutter sound of my Pentax 67 even if it sounds somewhat like dropping a brick on a pile of cans. Also my M4-P at slower shutter speeds, like polished marble on silk sheets.

Least favorite it the Canon EOS, particularly in live mode.

My 1986 M6 .72 makes the sweetest, most well-damped sound of my all my cameras. It's less noticeable than my M3, M2, IIIf and III. And briefer than OM-1, FE-2, Contax II and Blad. And yes, that does add to my pleasure of using it.

I don't know how I ended up here because I really never even listen to the sound of my shutter while I am shooting photos. A Rolleiflex and a Zeiss Super Ikonta III and IV and others that have the quiet click of the Synchro-Compur shutters. My Leica M4 has a nice quiet sound. I had a Leica MP for awhile and while it was nice and quiet it was much the same as my other Leica M cameras. - jim

Do Packards count? Where the "bulb" setting is a real bulb. Not exactly sweet sounding, but somewhat intimidating, especially the big ones.

On the other end of the scale, the Fujicom ST705W and related cameras, as good as they are, are the only cameras I know of that have a reverb after pulling the shutter....

From the ones I own, the Leica M4-P is the smoothest operator. The worst one is my Ikonta 521/A, being noisy and so hard to press that handheld photography longer than 1/25s is impossible.
