Olympus E-PL7 with BCL-15mm f/8 or Lumix G 14mm f/2.5
I have no problem going out with the Nikon F6 and 28/35/50 mm lens either. Or the Haselblad SWC.

Sorry to say my cameras just don't fit in your box as I only shoot film. For years now I've used a "P". Now I've stepped up or down (depending on ones POV) to a Leica iiif. This personal choice, is a simple one for me. However I find that the camera I use has less to do with my final product than how I use the camera I have.

I use a Panasonic GX-1 mostly and a Leica M8, and just for the hell of it
I used a Canon EOS1DS the focusing in that camera is fast even if it's a
dinosaur.

None of my "go to" cameras for street photography fall within your criteria, as some are quite large and loud, they are all film-based and worse, manual focus.
However, they all seem to work rather well for me:

My own street shooting is mostly film, usually with a IIIc and Summitar these days. For digital, however, I've sort of settled on my X-E1 with a Snapshot Skopar 25/4 via an adapter - the click-stop focusing makes it very easy to use.

It's fun to use different cameras, different lenses, but the truth is the GX1 with the 40mm FOV is capable of doing any of my street clicks to date.
The GX1 with the 20mm 1.7 would serve well as the only sub-full frame camera in my arsenal.
Meaning my Fuji and Sony purchases have been driven by "want" rather than "need." Busted!

I'm thinking that my new to me Fuji XM-1 with 27 pancake lens, will work well with face recognition AF, and its flip up rear screen which allows it to function like a waist level finder, all in a non-intimidating small camera format. I'll have to get downtown to try it out.
Alternatively, rather than rely on AF, setting the lens to manual focus and pre-set to a fixed distance with a middling aperture (zone focusing), would work too. The camera's aperture priority and auto ISO select would handle the exposure. Or you could set that manually too if the lighting is consistent.

Lenses 35/21 Gears 46/20
While M-E is "somewhere" I'm was looking today at some other digital cameras.
I did it on Flickr, entered camera name and searched for group dedicated for this particular camera.
I'm hopeless, because I was looking for dogs, cats and street photography, documentary pictures were people are present and close.
I checked Leica M9, X1/X2, Sony A7 and Ricoh GR II.
M9 group is natural to me and it has photos I was opening. Not so many.
X1/X2 group was about the same.
Sony A7 is huge group on Flickr, but not so much street photography where people are close.
Ricoh GR II beats them all. Most of Bruce Gilden wannabes are here. And over all it seems to be the camera which is in use for the street.
I even checked GoPro. Street photography is possible, but distortion is ugly. Maybe they could come up with less wide lens, 20mm equivalent for still easy framing without screen and VF.
Fuji X100 also has huge presence on Flickr. Even dedicated street group. But I'm finding mostly what I have seen in Ricoh GR II group as something new and encouraging.

I have been using a Fuji X100T, which is an excellent little tool. I have always used zone focussing for street photography - much quicker.

The Fuji X-Pro1 or 2 is my first choice.
The Canon G15 is my second choice. (no interchangeable lenses)
The Leica M10 is my third choice. (no auto focus)
