It is quite definitely a Leica M3, note the the bevelled windows.

Uh, yes, you can get good results w/an M3.

According to the book "Regi Bergman", it is Sven Nykvists Leica M3 that she was lent for this scene. Actually, there is also a photo that she took at this moment that shows her reflection in the film camera's lens.

Unfortunately, he has passed away.
Regarding the photo, I have only seen it in this book (and starting to think I might have dreamed up this since the book is at home and I am at work, unable to check it up atm XD).
