What Cameras Are the most and least FUN?

Most fun are the ones I have- M5/M6 & X100(1st gen) for digi

Least is the same x100 batteries(i have FIVE!)….
otherwise I am happy with what I have.

Most Fun: Film - Leica M4, Digital - Leica M9

Least fun: anything that I can't figure out how to set shutter speed aperture and focus after 5 minutes without the manual - that's a lot these days.

That's a very good litmus test.

Most fun - M3/2/4, Plaubel Makina, Mamiya 6/7, Rolleiflex 2.8/3.5, the various LF cameras I've used have all been fun, Yashica T4/5.

Least fun - F100, F6, EOS 3, EOS 1N, EOS 1V, Pentax 6x7/67/67II, RZ67.

My least fun cameras are mostly cameras that are really good but they are just boring. They are great at being work cameras when you just need to get $h!t done but otherwise no fun. And the Pentax 67 is thrown in there just because of the weight. It's a fantastic camera and I wouldn't mind owning one but I hate lugging them around. Same with the RZ except I don't have any desire to own one ever again.

I have to disagree about the 6x7. Mine is probably my favorite film camera and I adore using it. The weight doesn't bother me, but then I have 4x5 and 8x10 to compare it to 😉

Most fun:

- Voigtlander Nokton 25mm f0.95 (for Micro Four Thirds) - Really fun blend of analogue ethos with digital convenience.
- Leica M2 - doesn't get in the way.
- Pentax LX - Long-exposures 🙂
- Ricoh GR - not so much because of the camera itself, but because it's portability and quality means that it has accompanied me on some incredibly fun (mostly Type 2 Fun) adventures...

Least fun:
- Fuji X100 mkI with original firmware - It just had too many bugs which were 'annoying' rather than 'charming'

Most fun: Leica IIIc and Kodak Retina IIIc. Loved the pleasurable mechanical operation of these simple little cameras.

Least fun: Anything Polaroid. Never could get image quality I liked and the operation was a bit too fiddly.

Most fun has always been my Nikon F. Simple and no surprises with zero need for any re-familiarization.

Least fun was my Pentax Spotmatic. I wanted to like this popular SLR but I never warmed up to the way the lens and light meter systems worked.

Least fun from 'best' to 'worst':
- My DSLR(s), delivers great photos, but no soul or challenge or feel during use.
- Yashicaflex-C TLR, difficult to operate (one mistake when loading and you turn trough your whole film), optics is nothing to write home about, very simplistic and 'cheap' feel while shooting.
- My Hasselblad 503CW and the 80mm F2.8 CF T* (can't trust focus, even with an $200 Acumatte-D. Plus, long and tough focus action on the lens. Camera sounds like a cod being slapped around when taking a photo, I don't understand the appeal).
- My Moskva-V, because it's focus plane is crooked (left side is closer than right side).
- Zorki 4K, because it's crap basically =D

Most fun, from most fun to least most fun.
- Leica IIIf with the radioactve Summicron LTM Collapsible, no frame-lines, no parallax-correction and the viewfinder only shows correct view for a fifty at around 10 feet 😀 Sweet feel and operation though and the combined summicron really yields photos with it's own look.
- Leica M3 with the Dual range summicron ^^
- My Zorki 1 with the Industar-22, because it's quirky to shoot with and delivers results with a punch way above it's pay-grade.
- Rolleiflex Automat MX-EVS, it looks like a dog, quite the 'patina' but delivers and I have the filters and Rolleinars (I and II) as well, loads of fun.
- Rolleiflex 2.8F, same as above, but less fun, since it is so expensive to break 😛
- Bessa II 6*9 folder, with color Heliar because it's so old and weird, but delivers super results.
- Mamiya RZ 67 Pro II, because it's one big-ass camera, super-easy to focus to work with and deliver excellent negatives.

Most Fun, a Leica IIIc. I almost always have one with me and it can use a tremendous number of cool lens's.

Least Fun, anything unreliable.

I know a camera that is great fun and very frustrating to use at the same time. The Minolta Dynax 9xi. If you manage to get used to the most complicated user interface in the history of cameras, then it is a great camera to use. I gave up halfway through....

My first SLR, a Miranda Sensorex, was the only camera I owned that was not fun to use because it broke too often.

All cameras I have used since then have been fun to use.

The least fun (for me):
