I'm planning a trip to India and want to take some color film with me apart from b&w. I've never used color film, except for 2 rolls of ektar, which looked too contrasty/saturated for me. Since India is very colourfull and i don't want film to remark it. What colour film would you recomend me (either negative or reversal) with low saturation and/or low contrast ?(preferably cheap, though not essential)

And, do you know anywhere ir Spain or Europe to buy it the cheapest?

I think portra will go better with the tones of India, but that's a matter of taste, and you could always balance the colors in post.

Cheap film in Europe is at Macodirect.de, highly recomended.

If you want something really cheap, check out the Chinese Lucky film. It's pretty low saturation and contrast. Not the best film overall, but might be good enough? IMHO it's way better than Ferrania anyways.
