what DIDN'T you buy today?

A beater M6... Wound up being too rich for my pocket, then i jumped on to an ending xpan auction but that blew out of proportion really soon...
 
A Pentax 67 and a Nikon F2. Curious about either/both, but not certain that I want to part with the $$$ for them. I don't have a need for them, and the money could be better spent on travel, film, or saving. Still, I keep looking lustfully at KEH and eBay.
 
M4 + 35 'lux + 50 'lux. Good price for the whole set. A friend and I agreed he'll take the 35, I take the 50 and we sell the M4. Super-cheap deal per item like that.
But the seller is taking his time. We'll see. Didn't buy it today, might buy it tomorrow :)

I am contemplating a Yamaha Motif XS7 currently, there are two for sale locally with prices that are not bad -- if they are not abused.
 
M3 with a new .85 viewfinder sporting a 50mm Summicron DR with eyes, argh stupid me, to slow to react, now its gone, and the price was good, even for only one of the items!
 
Well lemme see.
I almost bought a black Nikon SP with S36 motor drive listed on ebay for nearly $20,000, but didn't.
And I almost bought a black Nikon S3 with S36 motor drive and Jacobson Powercon battery pack from KEH for almost $10,000, but didn't.
In both cases it was my dear Wife so sweetly whispering in my ear that stopped me. Something about going the rest of my life without sex, or words to that effect, that quickly brought me back to reality.
 
A lizard skinned Mamiya m645 1000s body with gold chrome...the auction ended this morning...with 15 minutes left it was at $66..it ended at $86...
Great price, I just couldn't see myself using it...in public...I just watched the timer go to zero...

Try this, 2 weeks at the police station to get the appropriate papers and purchase permits, driving 200km to another town to pick the gun up and when i come there the seller has sold the gun to another person for less than my own offer... I know that i am only 21, i have all papers and permits and treat fire arms with more respect than our average local law enforcement officer and the guy spills something on the lines of me being too young to really know how to behave with a gun... That was an insult to me and my father who since my earliest age taught me gun safety and correct handling and embedded respect, fear and caution one has to have if one intends to own (not carry, own as a collectors item in this case) a firearm...

(sorry for the rant) :(
 
That is for sure, you would not believe how much paperwork a fresh permit holder like myself has to go trough , and it's not like its a "carry around" gun that a hunter or a sportsman would use, it was a Walther P38 made by Mauser... Well if my purchases keep falling trough as they did like the last few weeks I might as well start saving for an M9 haha.
