I'm with you Joe in not liking the F803. I just can't take to it though it's very popular with others. Anyway I put mine in the classifieds yesterday so hopefully some will get enjoyment from it.
I'm currently using the lowepro exchange messenger with an insert I got from eBay to carry my RD1 and X100. Don't have an iPad myself but would think it would slip between the insert and the bag nicely.

that bag got lost in the shuffle...i have one and forgot that the ipad does fit into it. in fact, if you look at the 2 front pockets...i cut the thread that divided them, now it's one bigger pocket and the ipad fits in there as well as inside the bag proper.
my problem with that bag is that it is so light, it feels insecure for holding expensive gear...but it does work!
if it were made of canvas i would be happier...but i'm gonna start using it again tomorrow and see how it goes...i really only need the ipad with me for my toronto trip...
