I seem to mostly collect odd looks with a smattering of head shakes.
Bubble wrap from foreign lands?
And I did have a pretty good pile of US silver dollars but I gave those to my nephew for his eventual college expenses.
Cameras, though, I never started out to collect any of them. But I seem to have built up a couple of sagging shelves full in the last few years. That I can't quite bring myself to part with.

All kinds, as long as it actually works (or can be made to work), I can get the film for it (so no 626, etc. Kodaks), it's (usually) mechanical, and it was either a quality camera when it came out or a unique idea camera. An example is the SL2000F by Rollei. What a unique camera.

Half empty bottles of developers I've tried and not got on with, stuff I've bought and never really used (K mount SLRs and lenses, guitar effects), but mostly, DUST

I'd have to say 'bad experiences' is the one thing above all others that I am particular to collecting.

While I do not collect anything, I have a tendancy to pick up late Konica RF gear.

I have quite a collection of old roll film folders and some 35mm rangefinders, along with a few others, like the Kodak instant camera that Poloroid put out of business, 8mm movie cameras etc. They reside in a lighted glass front cabinet in the living room.
I also have a small collection of Zenith radios, especially of the Trans-Oceanic variety.
Otherwise, I guess I collect dust and dog hair - at least it seems to be on everything that doesn't move, and some things that do!

I can relate to the dog hair. When we got our present dog, I said it was to be an outside dog, lost that one. So now i`m collecting old yashicas and dog hairs.

I don't collect, because collecting brings a sense of incompleteness that I can't handle very well. There'll always be something more to get, it won't ever stop. I prefer not to go that route, and instead focus on my skills..

Hi... I collect statements from the credit card company :-(
I love Frank's, "I'm done," in his signature... and his explanation.
I'm NOT done; there's more gear that I want. Yet, I know intuitively,
that there's not much, that more GAS, will contribute towards making
me a better photographer.
What do I collect? It's the cameras I was hot on 6 or 10 months ago, and am
not using now... like my Kiev 4a and Oly 35 RC.
Do I want to sell 'em? Nope.
And, like more than a few friends here, I've got the 'soul of a collector.'
Ciao, mike

I'm not a cameras collector; only a user.
But I have a (not so) secret collection: I collect all the translation of the book Le Petit Prince (The Little Prince) by Saint-Exupéry. I got it in English of course, German, Italian, Spanish, Basque, Serbo-croat, Japanese, Chinese, Arabic, Romanian and Portuguese. That's my only collection
Best,

I'm lusting for an Olympus RC now.
Leicas are too rich for my blood. Same for Canons, Nikons, and Voigtlanders.
Hey! watch it! Are you implying that Olympus are cheap??... oh wait, that's a good thing for Olympus collectors like me, no?
I am a "collector and trader" of cameras... the "trader" part is just so I can convince myself that I am not paying more than what I ought to

When it comes to cameras (or many other things), there's an old saying: one is to use; two is a spare; three, you're a collector.
I don't collect cameras. I just accumulate them.
