Just state one thing you like best.. for me...
Being able to meter scene, set the speed and appeture and then just shoot! With a modern auto-everything SLR, even in aperture priority its always metering, so you have to be carefull that if you suddenly turn to a dark object etc that it messes up. I can now see why Leica didn't have apperture priority for so long... its an impediment.

I just mentioned the way you meter with a Leica (i.e. the method - meter, set once and shoot).. Isn't that just 1? <confused look>

My M2/M3
1) the solid density of the camera
2) the rounded ends
3) it is roughly as old as I am and still works perfectly
4) that it was made in a time when pride of craftmanship still existed and it was made as well as it could be made, regardless of price

Ignore It (It'll go away)
what you said, snaggs, and what Frank said, except #3, and that it is soooo unbelievably quiet. I just got an R2 to back up my M. Wow! What a difference; the R2 is a good camera, but compared to a leica the shutter sounds like a SLR with auto advance.

Sorry, couldn't help myself. I was going to list the shutter sound "snick" but forgot.
