A sample of well-founded opinions:
anyone can be wrong - especially if their knowledge is not from the inside, but comes from Mr Google. But it would be easier to backtrack if one were not so boorish in the first place. This is just the Internet. It's not worth being so nasty, especially when you don't know what you're talking about.
I don't find it difficult to admit I was wrong at all. But consider what I've admitted - that Agfa does indeed make color print film, which I had not seen. I now freely admit I was wrong, they do indeed make it.
I have not admitted that the film coating facilities which formerly belonged to AgfaPhoto are now in the hands of Inoviscoat, because the news reports and press releases from the South Korean firm that bought the equipment say the opposite. I have no reason to believe any RFF member statements to the contrary which are not backed up with news links or links to company news releases. Inoviscoat itself lists nothing like that on their website except the photographic paper production.
Perhaps it is true that Inoviscoat is about to begin producing film. If so, I have suggested, and continue to suggest, that if and when we see it, then it will be a fact. Until then, it is speculation. Others here claim to have knowledge of the principals involved in this scheme, and they very well may, so my knowledge may be incomplete. But since I do not possess that information myself, believing it without further evidence would be illogical. Furthermore, I am quite aware that companies often announce that they are going to do thus and so and then never do it. So what some employee of Inoviscoat told some RFF member who then posted it here is not what I would call a good logical basis for belief. I certainly believe the RFF member was told it, I don't doubt that, but I continue to harbor doubts that it will come to pass.
And as I have said - rudely - in the past; let's wait and see. If the film materializes, you will see a prompt and public apology from me for doubting. If not, I very much doubt I'll see anyone who claimed it was a done deal apologizing, because most people just don't have the stones to admit when they're wrong.
And finally, Mister Paul. As much as I appreciate your taking the time to go through all my old posts to dig out various rude things I have said, you are wasting your time. I am what I am, and that's not going to change. Get used to it, complain to the management, put me on ignore, or go away. I don't care which, and I won't stop being who I am because you find me objectionable.
