Well-known
I wish I had seen the original thread after all this hype.
+1 for Christianity.
-1 for reality.
White Knight saves woman of the world from sexist and offensive RFF members.
Said members jailed for hate crimes.
White Knight awarded 99 virgins.
No one mentioned Christianity or any other religion. Its possible to be offended by the comments people made in the shirt thread without being a Christian or any other kind of religious believer.
I wish I had seen the original thread after all this hype.
how can you comment on any of this if you never even saw what we're talking about? if you don't know any of the facts, you don't have any business criticizing the thread being removed.

in my opinion the thread and the comments objectified the women in the pictures. if you want to look at that kind of stuff, the internet is full of it. why does it have to be here too?

"The problem with the thread was the sexist attitudes about the pics."
Thanks Steven for clarifying that.....I think I might of missed something that was posted while I was sleeping........
"The original post was just photos of Thai girls in t-shirts with cameras on the shirts"
with all due respect Chris, that's not really true...I can recall two posts that had females wearing camera shirts that I did not post...I think mfogiel and craigc were the other posters...and I am pretty sure the girls weren't Thai.
"as there was no men in camera T-shirts to counterbalance, nor would there ever be"
there was a photo of a male in the thread, that male was me.....
anyways, like I said, I didn't get a chance to see any of the comments that were posted so I have no idea what happened.......
cheers, michael
its interesting how few people seem to bother to read the RFF forums rules and FAQ
Rule No. 4 - No "Offensive" Posts, Links or Images
4) You will not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-orientated, hateful, threatening, racist, sexist, discriminatory, or otherwise violative of any local or international laws. This includes links in your signature, profile, bookmarks as well as posted images, photos and avatars. Staff will ultimately decide if something is appropriate or not.
The problem with the thread was the sexist attitudes about the pics.
That is not what RFF is about.
Stephen
This is retarded. I saw the thread. There were nice pics and people were commenting more the cameras on the shirts than the girls. If some ass said something wrong, just delete its comment, not the whole thread...
I understand what you're saying, but conservative views on sex and male/female interaction and attraction stem from periods of christianity which defiled natural attraction between gender and sex.
There's this wonderful thing that was graced upon mankind (and womankind - gotta be politically correct about it 😎) that's called choice. When a person comes into contact be it visual or auditory etc with something that he finds offensive or personally vulgar, it is entirely possible to remove himself from the situation. For example, on an internet forum, he may close the page he finds offensive and not visit it again. This removes the problem, insures he doesn't encounter that same problem again, and still allows those who enjoy the said content to continue enjoying it.
Choice for the win.
