Can't seem to find the recent thread member 'TimmyJoe' created .
It was available to view and post in, this past Saturday morning...

When I look at 'my recent posts' , my last being in Tim's thread
they no longer exist, nor can the thread be found, how strange.

Censorship, or Tim wanted it deleted or ?
Something happen ?

Cheers and Thanks to whoever responds...

I subscribed to this thread “I’m Not Liking This At All” by timmyjoe, and I got a notification that timmyjoe responded 9 hours ago, but when I try and read the response it says “Sorry, you are not authorized to view this page. For assistance contact the site administrator.”

I have a hunch it’s been deleted. Maybe management is getting a little sensitive to the honest truth from the very subscribers who participate in this Forum.

thanks for asking Helen, inquiring minds want to know, where’s the thread ?. Well ???

Thank You Bob for your insight ~

Sad if we are moving towards censorship.
It was a Good thread, loved the candour, nothing ugly, or threatening in it.
just people discussing pros and cons, oh well ...

I felt the thread had been moving a bit far toward the "Glass is half empty" side of things. I feel the new forum format justifies "The glass is half full," and then some. How about some appreciation for the improvements? I'll go first: I like the increase in the number of photos we can post to the Gallery, and the increase in allowable file size.

With all due respect to the ownership, this tendency is why I don’t post very much.
I’m not a big fan of seeing people’s time, thoughts and contributions be deleted and dismissed. I find it to be a bit disrespectful towards the community.

Hi All, I did not delete the thread, in fact I had just posted on the thread, then it disappeared. Have no idea why or who disappeared it. Maybe they are removing threads that ask the forum to reinstate features, after the features are reinstated. Not sure. Thanks to everyone who contributed to the thread.

Best,
-Tim

Thank you Tim. Your willingness to express the obvious, the new Rff Forum is not user friendly. Now we know the truth, you did not delete the thread. If the current owner(s) don’t wake up it’s destined to fail. Thank you for your courage to speak up.

For what it's worth....As a relative 'new comer' here, I found the old format very difficult to use when I first joined up. It wasn't user friendly at all from my perspective, compared to some of the other sites I post on, which are mostly non-photography related. I didn't complain though, as it is a free forum to join.
So to all you who say the new format is not user friendly, I say, give it a chance, and yourself a chance, to become familiar with it before condemning it. Once you get used to the new format I'm pretty sure you'll wonder how you ever tolerated the old one for as long as you did.
And don't look at post removal as 'censorship'. It's the Head Bar Tender's place and he shouldn't have to listen to negative commentary if he doesn't want to. Constructive criticism is what they're asking for, and if given in the proper manner will result in this place really being a nice place to hang out.

Just my $.02 for free. Keep up the good work guys, it is appreciated.

Problem is..
After things get deleted..some folks just leave for awhile..or for good..
Think Huss..and others..
Which is really the last thing this forum needs..

to 'Always on Auto"
You brought up some good points...

Unfortunately no one can read that Thread now...
There were some very good suggestions on it.

It was NOT a thread in total disagreement with the new RFF..

Bottom line RFF would not be here without its MEMBERS.
Without them You have nothing

Members who put their Time, Enthusiasm, Photos and knowledge all up for FREE...

It was recently said by some members/individuals here that we are acting privileged or entitled and should not critique the new RFF .

Yes agreed, Stephen can do as he pleases it's his site
but I do think one can speak one's mind in a respectful manner and not be censored, that's all. It is a community in sharing...

Alas the mystery has been solved, Thank You Tim for responding and your PM ~

Cheers & Best , HH

To helenhill - I guess all I'm asking is for people to give the new format a chance. I've tried my hand at programing and let me tell you, it ain't easy. I'm very impressed with what MP Guy has come up with here. I'm sure he has all the good suggestions from that thread copied somewhere too so he can go back and take a look at the code needed to implement them.
I will admit to having had to learn how to approach things like this with a very open mind if you will. Kind of like when I went from shooting my Nikon FE to a CoolPix 995. The overall conflict of REALLY small buttons and a fold able camera format were hard to overcome. But I did and my photography really took off.
