To add to the threads about ourselves I thought I would start one about the 'wheels' that we are driving or have driven . So for your 'delectation' here is this little 3 -wheeler which I had a few years back: now passed on so that another enthusiast can use it in a climate sunnier and drier than mine!
The photo doesn't do the 'car' justice. In fact its pretty dreadful but it does convey something of the nature of the beast!

Lomax 223 if I'm not mistaken! I have a 2CV that's currently off the road awaiting some attention. The other "wheels" is a Suzuki Bandit 600S

Cool bike Mauro - I learnt to ride on one and if the missus allowed I'd have one again.

I have been driving an Audi A 8 for the last three years, Beautiful car comes with all the toys, I love landrovers & Rangerovers and have owned a few of each over the years, I would now like an Audi TT

Well-known
Haven't driven in almost 15 years, but my favorite car was a 1966 Rover TC 2000, a machine as quirky as my rangefinders.

currently living in Munich, where public transportation beats everything but a helicopter, I don't drive anything but a bike on a regular basis. Back home in Iceland, however, I have a '95 jeep cherokee (no picture jet), and my old 1992 Lada Niva.
Some pictures of the faithful Lada doing it's job in the Icelandic highlands:
pic1 going down a slope
pic2 crossing a river, with a terrified french tourist on board. He had to get a ride to town because of the hefty rain, but probably wasn't used to crossing rivers in cars.
pic3 that same river again.

I've owned a few vehicles in my time, but I'm not sure what they could tell you about me...
I will sell the Nighthawk this Spring; everything else has been long sold-off or wrote-off. I don't even own a car anymore, but the wife does have a '92 Tercel that's very close to the end of its lifespan. All-in-all, not a very glamorous list, I'm afraid.

I forgot to mention that I'm going to the motorcycle show this weekend. When I found out about it, and told my wife, she replied: "I was hoping you wouldn't notice."
I'm going anyways, and if I come home with a new ride, it will not be my fault. She will have driven me to it, I swear!
- 1979 Chevy Pickup, dark blue, 350ci w/4-barrel carbs
- 1989 Dodge Aries sedan, silver, w/ the bulletproof 2.2l engine
- 1992 Mercury Grand Marquis, silver-green, graciously destroyed by a friend in an auto accident
- 1987 BMW 325 sedan, silver, most-exciting car I ever owned, but I sold it to buy some two-wheelers
- 1983 Honda CB650SC (Nighthawk) and 1985 Honda Magna V-30

First ride was a Harley Davidson 165 M/C followed by their Sprint, a 250cc Italian, then a Triumph 650, lovely purple.
Favorite wierd car: '66 Saab Monte Carlo - 850cc 3 cylinder 2 stroke engive with free wheel device. Blew blue smoke every where.
Now Toyota Matrix, it can haul a lot of photo stuff.

I've always wondered - why do you always put the year with a car model in America? Do they change every year?
Seems strange, I wouldn't know whether a 1997 Seat Ibiza was a MkII or MkIII.

I learned to drive in a 1948 GMC pick up--2 tons of vehicle and no power steering or synchro mesh transmission:bang:
After that, I drove a '68 or '69 VW bus for a few years.
Then an '82 four door Caprice Classic--that one made my friends very nervous when I dropped by at night; it looked just like the local police cars.
Then I had an MG Midget for a couple of years. I finally got tired of getting soaked every time it rained and replacing/fixing the top would've cost about four times what I paid for the car so I passed it along to some one who appreciated it more than I.
Now I don't own any car. If I need one I have two or three I can borrow but day to day I don't need anything faster than my shoes.

Yes they do change every year. Even if it's only some cosmetic "improvement" the models are NEW each year.
