Pentax-A 50/1.2 and 135/2.8 to Eric Hendrickson. Both had problems with their A contacts. I'd lost the spring on the 135mm, and a past owner had lost some part on the 50mm. The 135mm also needed collimation, and the 50mm needed some fungus cleaning. Eric did a perfect job on both, of course.

I'd work on them myself if I could get parts, but I can't, and Eric has mucho experience.

I wouldn't even consider opening my Pentax LX cameras, they both are serviced by Eric.

Took my two Mamiya Magazine 35 rangefinders to Blue Moon Camera and machine in Portland, OR for service.... Fingers crossed that they can revive them- they both "sort of" work but have a host of minor problems. One is the super rare f2.0 version.🙂

The rewind shaft of my Nikon F3 P separated from the rewind knob. The F3 was purchased used and evidently the threads on the rewind shaft were stripped and gave way at the best possible moment... during a snow storm in sub zero (°C) weather while huddled in an unheated pedestrian walkway trying to change film.

A word of appreciation for the team at Kiitos back in Tokyo. They replaced the damaged parts in 30 minutes while I waited and charged me a grand total of Yen 1,000 (less than USD 10.00)... that amount was for the parts, the charge for the repair person's time was priceless ;-).

I sent a 16-85 to Nikon in Melville NY. I bought it used about 7 months ago and it worked fine, recently I wasn't able to fire the shutter of my D7000 with this lens attached, worked fine with another lens.

Oddly enough, Nikon is repairing it at no charge, under warranty!! I'm not sure why, maybe there were issues with this lens and they are repairing it in good faith??

No wonder i'm becoming friends with my repair guy... Now they invite me to wait in the actual shop instead of the waiting room.
Last time i was talking about getting a haircut with his wife who does pretty much anything but repairs, and as we were witing for her husband to come back she took an apointment for me to the hairdresser next door.

It's always a pleasure to go there.

Shipped a Polaroid SLR 680 across the country to 2nd Shot SX-70 Service. Matt upgraded the rollers tp get rid of the 680 divot on IP film, installed a split image screen plus and overall tune up. Work is good, price is fair and the communication was great.

Leica M 240 in for service to Leica NJ. Horizontal banding across all images (sensor problem). * sigh * From what I understand the gears turn slowly at Leica NJ and it's likely I'll not see my camera again before 2016.

One Nikkor Af-d 28-105mm 3,5-4,5 which I bought dead and locked solid. Aperture works, focusing works. Zoom...er....does not. Just told the service (3rd party) I don't care about the automatics, motors, electronics and AF, as will be used in a FM3a. Let's see what they do.

One Vario-sonnar 28-70mm f3,5-4,5 in C/Y mount who is no longer sharp under 5,6, only sharp at corners. After 10 years taking serious bashing, time to recenter and recalibrate.
Both have been sent to a very old repair centre in Spain, iredfoto is called.
