Patience please, but I just saw a scan above that exhibits the white freckles that my Tri-X and HP5+ in Diafine have occasionally. What causes this? Dust? Under or over agitation? Or What?
and every now and then I'll get a sepia tone on 1 or two frames out of the same roll.

Again, any idea as to what is causing these small, irregular, white spots that occasionally appear on my scans. Are they and the sepia tones caused by something I'm doing wrong in developing or scanning? They are only on a few frames if they appear at all. I don't think it's dust but I could be wrong.

If you are scanning those might just be digital artifacts caused by light scattering in the silver grains of the film.
If you scan the same frame twice... are they in the same place?
are they about the size of a 2x2 pixel circle?
Look for the tips about scanning BW film somewhere else here.

To give you a better idea of what I'm talking about, look at the canon forum and you'll see a thread about a Jupiter lens on a P. The 1st photo had a white spot to the left of the electrical cord. That's what I'm asking about. The sepia tone is a sererate issue.
