There is no reason for any bashing to begin. Ilford has always been a fierce competitor, with a halo of prestige of its own, and perhaps not a single inch less good than Tri-X, although the look on the prints is quite different. But the halo of the film legend, which may carry also its good dosis of prejudices, has fallen upon Tri-X.
By the way I dislike Kodak company concerning every thing darkroom related and will not be surprised if some day they kill Trix-X as Olympus killed Maitani. But facts are facts.
