found an industar 69 28/2.8, can it be used on my R-D1 with adapter?
looking for a 28mm lens for my R-D1, any suggestion for low budget user?

The obvious choice is the Voigtlander 28mm f3.5, which is a great lens, especially with the cropped sensor of the Epson. Small, well-made and nice optics.

Industar 69 works with LTM adapter but needs a modification to focus correctly. Mine cost 20$. Note that it is not coupled to the rangefinder.

There is the FSU ORION 28mm f:6.0, which I bought for $75. It's a derivation of the Zeiss Tessar, a 4-element design. If you can live with the speed, it's very satisfactory.

It should be okay for me for the speed of Orion, but it costs over US150.
Hi Yanidel, how to modify the industar 69 for correct focus? please advise, thanks !

Sorry, I don't know, mine was already modified by the Ebay seller for the R-D1 and M8.

Go with the CV 28/3.5 -- it's great on the R-D1, and it's a lens that you'll want to keep using even if your budget increases in the future.

From what I understand, the Industar 69 is a half frame lens and have a different back distance to the film plane. In order to make it focus correctly for a R-D1 you have to file off about 1mm of the mount. Also because it's half frame, it'll vignet.

just read how to modify the focusing of Industar 69, but really not sure which part should I file? could anyone advise and give some tips?
seems I will take the Ind 69 and try the modification.
thanks all of you !!
