What is the oldest camera you still own that you bought new ?

A Leica MP, bought in 2002 or 2003.

I didn't actually buy it, but my dad did, for me. Pentax K1000, November of 1979.

I needed it in a hurry because I was taking a photography class in H.S. and the ancient Minolta SR1 I was using jammed on a field trip and never operated again. Saturday rolled around, and Dad took me downtown to buy the Pentax. A rare gesture on his part; usually if I needed something expensive I was told to "put it on my Christmas list" and then come Christmas morning I'd receive a lesser and cheaper version of whatever I'd asked for.

I used that Pentax for a long time, and it still works. I've seen a LOT of K1000s with dead meters over the years, but mine escaped that demise.

Had to try to remember what camera's I’ve bought new ( it’s a very short list) and......well I realized I don’t have any of those camera’s now.

I bought an Olympus OM2n new, along with a new 28mm f2.8 (the previous OM10 brought the 50mm f1.8 I kept). I still have the 28mm, and I have an OM2n, but not the one I bought as that got traded for something, I now no longer remember!

EOS 300. I think it is 20 YO. It is working without service since new. Went to different countries and continents. Last time it was on the trip with our daughter to Europe in 2019.
She is holding in to it since then. I hope it still works and somewhere around :)

Nikon FE (black body) sometime shortly after we were married in late 1980, so probably 1981 or so. Still works with a new battery in it. I'll have to dig it out and take a picture of it. Has very little wear as we couldn't afford a lot of film.

Canon TX. Bought brand new on April 1, 1976. Traveled all over the US with this camera. Had it high in the Rockies and naked on the beaches in California. It was my PJ camera when I shot for the college newspaper.

It was my only camera for 16 years until I got a second hand Canon F-1n when I moved to New York.

Still have it, but it's in need of a CLA, so I don't use it anymore. Someday I may send it to Ken for an overhaul.

Nikon F which I bought brand new in June 1967 (almost 53 years). Working well - only serviced once . I ordered it with 50mm F2.

I can't play in this league because I don't buy many cameras new. My longest-owned, purchased-new camera is my Epson R-D1, which I bought when it was released in 2004. (I know that's an RF camera and this is the SLR forum, but other people seem to be claim-jumping so why not?)

I do still have the Zeiss-Ikon Contina II (folding version with non-coupled rangefinder) that my dad bought new just before my sister was born in 1954, and on which he later taught me about f/stops and shutter speeds and such.

A black Nikkormat FTn, with 50/2 HC bought new in November 1975. Cost was GBP79 for the body and GBP50 for the lens. I've owned over 100 Nikon cameras of one sort or another since then, which have come and mostly gone, but that one is a keeper.

I bought it mail order when I was a student from Brocks Cameras. It was the best price I could find in Amateur Photographer, which in those days had so many pages of adverts.

I have an 8 year old digital camera , does that count? :D
My original MM (aka M9M).

Ooops just saw SLR forum, never mind then ;)
