I have a nice copy of a 35mm f/3.5 Summaron (no goggles) in M mount that I picked up a few years ago from a fellow RFFer. I haven't used it much, and when I have I've mounted an IROOA hood. IROOA works, but I really think it's designed for the later f/2.8 version of the lens because it's very difficult to access the aperture ring.

Does anyone know the correct hood for this lens? I'd like to use the lens more frequently!

There were two barrel designs for the Summaron 35/3.5 (SOONC). The earlier "lens board" version had its aperture ring set further back. You must have the later version, with a "modern" barrel and aperture ring close to the front of lens. Both IROOA and ITDOO are compatible with a Summaron 35/3.5 (if you believe the engraving), but ITDOO looks to give more room for your fingers. I base this claim on the gallery at Kevin Cameras and my own IROOA and Summaron 35/2.8.

Yes, my lens is the later barrel style.

You know, after Googling pictures of both the ITDOO and IROOA, I think both of mine are actually ITDOOs! Thanks for the info - I had never heard of the ITDOO before.
