What is this 1940's era Kodak camera?

I think it was just called a "Kodak 35". I have one, never put a roll through it. Found it at an antique store for under $10. Preceded the Pony, I believe. I think it is the same shutter and lens.

On the Kodak line: go for a Signet 35. The Ektar lens is sharp. Note that the later models, 40, 50, 80, use "Ektanar" lenses. Not as good as the original "Signet 35".

I guess a part of me saw a rangefinder selling for almost nothing on CL and wondered if it was worth anything. Shame on me for even thinking that!
