What is this all over my photo?

I shot this on Velvia 50 using a Yashica 635. I sent it to get developed and scanned onto a CD and this is what I got back.

Have a got a dud roll of film ? Or is it something in the developing or scanning stages? Help im very new to MF, but im thinking that black stuff shouldnt be in the sky lol....

I can't say why it happened, but there is a technical term to describe what it is: schmutz.

What does the film look like? It looks like some sort of goop on the film; if not, it is goop on the scanner.

I believe you to be correct, it probably should not be there. 🙂

Looks almost like water stains..

Can you see it on the negatives??

Yes I just checked, it IS on the negatives.

you may try to rub it off with a damp soft cloth, very lightly though.

By the way, looked like a very nice image minus the roller tracks added by the processors. I'd go see them and threaten to debag and radish them if it should ever happen again, plus demand a refund. Such poor processing is inexcusable.

The developer rang me and sad it was a problem with the 'stabilizer'.They are going to wash them off and reprint and rescan.Just FYI.
