What is this really!

Hmm, but the name 'SE18' implies a f/1.8 lens, in my opinion - and it looks different from my Lynx 5000 or from a Lynx 1000 (both of which have f/1.8) lenses.... The flash shoe is in another place than on the Lynxes, too.
The rangefinder tab looks like that on my Konica S2, but the rest does not. Also, there is some protrusion on the right side (looking from the front) of the camera.
But all of that is hard to tell from that little auction picture...

It does resemble a Yashica Lynx, but this one has a battery cap on the left end and no wind lever on top (is it on the bottom or on the back like a Voigtlander?)

The Yashica Lynx's all have top wind lever's and the "e" models have battery compartments on the back, not the ends.

I looked at one of the biggest illustrated Japanese rangefinder sites around and couldn't find any look-a-likes.

Ooops, had not even noticed about the wind-lever - hope it is not missing (the seller said he does not know whether this camera works, since he never used it himself). I don't think it's an ex-DDR camera - I don't know of any similar RFs from the DDR (or any other Eastern European country as well).
BTW, there is an interesting bottom-wind Konica Auto SE on Austrian Ebay - but I think I won't bid on that one...

There are some Olympus rangefinders, predecessors to the SP, that have the battery compartment on the end as well as a wind lever buried under the top. This could be a re-badged and cosmetically modified Olympus. The American catalog retailer, Montgomery Wards did the same to the Konica Auto-S and S-2.

Anyway.......even Mckeowns fails on this one. It has to say about Porst: "Distributor of many brands of cameraa, including some made with their own name. Founded in 1919, the Porst chain of photo stores was taken over in 1996 by Belgian Spector Photo Group. In 1996 Porst AGwas Germany's largest photo retailer. Bought in 2001 for DM 1 by Pixelnet." then follows with 3 pages of pictures of various Porst cameras - but none like this one.....

Well, hey, who could have guessed to get such a mysterious camera on scarcely visited Austrian Ebay for a whopping 9 Euros? ;)
I thought some Japanese collectors would snipe it away in the last seconds for a couple of hundred bucks, since it seems to be so rare...

It looks kind of like a Taron to me, but I don't have one handy to compare ......

Rick hit it on the nose with the Taron identity. I'm holding the identical camera in Hanimex 35 Auto-EE CdS version. Also rebadged as the Cavalier EE Auto 35. Taron model is Taron Auto EE made in 1963. I picked mine up for $10 US on E**y. Nice camera with a 45mm 1:1.8 lens Citzen MVE shutter. Hope this helps.
 
Also the wind lever is easily missed in pictures since it is in the back like a Voigtlander.
