From what I can gather, only 3000 of the FOCA Marine Nationale were made.
However, fakes do abound. So, whether or not this particular one being auctioned is authentic is another matter entirely.

It is a rare camera. I tis very rare to find a Foca in that condition and it is even rarer to find a Foca Marien National in that condition!

They are nice cameras, I use Focas, remember this is a unique bayonette mount not
adaptable to Leica, back focus 32mm!!
3000+ made in total, a lot were "Marine National" but there are a lot of fakes.
Difficult to get serviced outside France.
There are also screw thread Focas, a unique 36mm fine pitch thread.
Remember the newest are 40+ years old and if military could have had hard use. New shutter curtains are expensive. I got new ones put in another model recently, cost about £100 on a much simpler camera, they looked good when I bought the camera on ebay, but after firing a few times they ripped in half.
This will go higher in bids!
I often feel they are not really Leica copies, they are quite different in a lot of ways, the screw ones probably owe more to Contax, i.e.
removable back, focussing mount is part of the camera body.

it's a plain (and rare) foca URC, a RF that has nothing to share with leica and contaxes... plain french design (don't say idiosynchrasy...) . The last evolution of the breed... and very high quality lens (even if fragile)....
Sort of a citroen DS in a world of mercedes....
and focusing mount is not part of the body...
two breeds of foca with interchangeable lenses ... one with screwount and indeed only coupled with the 50mm ... and the universal with bayonet and coupling for the whole range of focal lenghts...

Only on the bayonette ones, the rangefinder SCREW ones as I said, it IS part of the body.🙄
If you buy ensure that the take up spool is present, as replacements are difficult to find. (read impossible)
